Cambridge Advanced Studies

This advanced academic program is available to students who are either zoned to attend R.J. Murray or have been accepted into the Center for the Arts Criteria for the program is listed below

Out of zone students who have a gifted EP can only attend Murray for gifted services if they are accepted into SJCCA.

6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Cambridge/Gifted

Note: Students do not need to apply for Cambridge… they will be placed based on test scores, class performance and teacher recommendation.

R.J. Murray Middle School proudly offers the Cambridge Advanced Studies Program, an advanced middle school academic program sponsored by Cambridge University in England, an internationally recognized program for students in grades 6-8. The Cambridge Honors Program offers a rigorous and relevant curriculum.

FSA Level 4 or 5 in reading and math

Nationally normed test– Stanine of 7, 8, or 9

Grades – Students should maintain a 2.0+ GPA in all advanced academic classes

Students with Educational Plans for gifted services are accepted based on the EP and their academic needs
